Job summary

Barden is hiring a Financial Controller to own day-to-day controllership in a growing West Dublin business. You will lead month-end close, statutory reporting, tax compliance and internal controls, while guiding a small finance team through significant change.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee AP/AR, cash forecasting and treasury, and partner with operations and IT to drive business performance in a fast-growing retail services company.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 4 years PQE.
• Proven experience owning month-end close and statutory reporting end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience coordinating an external audit cycle.
• Practical, current experience of Irish tax compliance.
• Experience managing and developing a small finance team.
• Strong ERP experience, SAP highly advantageous, with advanced Excel and familiarity with Power BI.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-changing, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including management accounts and Balance Sheet Review.
• Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and manage the external audit cycle.
• Oversee Irish tax compliance: VAT, Intrastat, VIES, CT and Deferred Tax.
• Supervise AP/AR, cash forecasting, treasury operations and FX management.
• Design and embed internal controls framework with segregation-of-duties.
• Act as finance contact for outsourced payroll ensuring controls.
• Manage Financial Accountant, Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller.
• Partner with FPA, operations, IT and commercial leaders as trusted advisor.
