Job summary

Pro Recruitment Ireland Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician for Ireland-wide solar PV and wind sites. This site-based role involves diagnosing faults, performing maintenance, and supporting commissioning to keep renewable energy assets operating at full capacity.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year on solar PV or wind sites, an electrical/electronics/automation qualification, a clean driving licence, and proficient reporting in English. A Safe Pass and SCADA familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience on a solar PV or wind energy site.
• Trade qualification or degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.
• Full clean Irish or EU driving licence — essential.
• Experience with fault detection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/automation equipment.
• Familiarity with SCADA or remote monitoring systems (desirable).
• Valid Safe Pass
• Comfortable working outdoors on active sites in all conditions.
• Strong written English for technical reporting.

Field Service Technician — Solar PV & Wind

Location: Ireland (Multi-Site | Full-Time | Site-Based) Salary: €45,000 – €51,000 base Sector: Renewable Energy | Solar PV | Wind

Ireland's renewable energy sector is growing fast — and we're looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to grow with it.

This is a site-based O&M role covering solar PV and wind assets across Ireland. You'll be the person on the ground keeping renewable energy sites running at full capacity — diagnosing faults, carrying out maintenance, supporting commissioning, and making sure production never stays down longer than it has to.

If you're an electrically qualified technician with at least a year of solar or wind site experience, comfortable behind the wheel on rural roads and working independently across multiple sites, this is a strong opportunity to build a long-term career in one of Ireland's fastest growing sectors.

What\'s on offer

• €45,000–€51,000 base salary depending on experience
• Annual performance bonus — 6% target for O&M Technicians, paid in April
• 22 days annual leave plus Good Friday and Christmas Eve, rising to 24 days after 3 years’ service
