Job summary

Renvolt Energy is expanding its O&M team in Ireland and seeks an on-site O&M Technician to support solar assets near Waterford. You will perform fast on-site and remote troubleshooting, conduct maintenance activities, and participate in commissioning and start-up tasks to ensure continuous production.

The ideal candidate has PV plant maintenance/commissioning experience, familiarity with SCADA and data systems, strong English, and a valid Irish driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning and maintenance of PV plants (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electronics and automation fault detection.
• Maintenance Management and continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with SCADA and remote-control systems.
• Advanced English reading/writing/speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast on-site and remote troubleshooting for production restoration.
• Carry out on-site specialized technical maintenance activities.
• Participate in integrated commissioning and start-up activities.
• Conduct on-site technical assessments and reporting.
• Provide training and workshops to spread maintenance skills.
• Contribute to development of maintenance processes and systems.
• Produce documentation to support maintenance actions.
• Suggest more effective maintenance practices and tools.
• Disseminate best practices and standards; support reliability studies.
• Monitor and audit implemented processes and activities.

Renvolt is Growing – Join Our O&M Team in Ireland!

Renvolt continues to expand its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) presence across Ireland, strengthening the long‑term performance and reliability of our solar assets.

We are seeking skilled professionals located near our sites, preferably in the Waterford area, to ensure strong local support, fast response times, and efficient on‑site operations.

Reporting to the O&M Site Manager, the O&M Technician has the following responsibilities:

• Provide fast on‑site and remote troubleshooting, recommend and implement fault recovery solutions for production re‑establishment;
• Carry out on‑site specialized technical maintenance activities;
• Participate in Integrated Commissioning & Start‑up activities;
• Carry out on‑site technical assessments;
• Provide technical reports and evidence to support claiming processes;
• Provide training and technical workshops to spread and consolidate maintenance competences and skills;
• Participate in the development of maintenance management processes and systems;
• Produce technical documentation to support the maintenance activity;
• Recommend/ study more effective and efficient maintenance practices and tools;
• Disseminate good practices and standards;
• Contribute to the development of reliability studies and failures analysis;
• Participate in monitoring and auditing implemented processes, procedures and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• Experience in commissioning and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants (preferred);
• Experience in electronics and automation fault detection techniques and troubleshooting;
• Maintenance Management - Standards and Continues Improvement Process;
• Experience in SCADA and remote‑control systems;
• Experience in data acquisition and communications systems (preferred);
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and reporting software;
• Advanced English reading/writing/speaking (mandatory);
• Must have a valid Irish driver license.
