Field Service Engineer – Senior & Junior Positions

About Mantis Cranes:

Join Ireland’s market leader in Self-Erecting and Traditional Tower Cranes. With over 25 years of expertise, Mantis Cranes, based in Killygordon, Co. Donegal, provides crane hire and sales services throughout Ireland and the UK. We manage every aspect of crane requirements, from initial enquiry and site survey to installation and dismantling.

The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth and business development, we are looking for enthusiastic and determined Field Service Engineers to join our team. Whether you are starting your career or bringing senior experience, this role offers excellent training, development, and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Following full training, you will work both independently and as part of a team, carrying out work across Ireland, including:

  • Safe installation and dismantling of tower cranes, including self-erecting models
  • Scheduled maintenance and servicing of cranes, generators, hoists, and accessories
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults

Ideal Candidate:

  • Motivated, flexible, and a strong team player
  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weather
  • Holds a full driving licence
  • Willing to travel nationwide with overnight stays as required
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Engineering, mechanical, or plant background desirable for Senior roles (not required for Junior roles)
  • Physically fit, as manual work is involved
