Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled Electrician/Engineer to execute field service and maintenance on MV/LV switchgear across diverse industries in Ireland. The role includes preventative maintenance, installation and commissioning, retrofitting, and advisory duties.

You will travel to customer sites, troubleshoot complex electrical systems, and ensure high customer satisfaction while adhering to ABB safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in installation and maintenance of MV/LV switchgear.
• Experience testing and commissioning ABB and/or third-party equipment.
• Good knowledge of MV protection relays and/or LV systems.
• Strong service and maintenance background with proven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong IT skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver field services for MV/LV switchgear in customer facilities.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on LV and MV products (specialty in either).
• Lead Installation and Commissioning of LV and MV Solutions at customer sites.
• Conduct Retrofitting, Replacement and Advisory duties.
• Identify and resolve technical issues through troubleshooting and analysis.
