Job summary

Cpl is seeking a Field Sales Representative for the Metal Division to cover Cork City to West Cork. You will manage a defined territory, build customer relationships, identify new business, and deliver exceptional service across a diverse client base.

You will work with the Area Sales Manager to drive growth while promoting a wide range of metal products and services. Training and ongoing support are provided to develop your sales career in this established organisation.

Territory: Cork City to West Cork

Are you a motivated, customer-focused sales professional looking to build a rewarding career in field sales? Our client, a leading supplier of industrial and trade products, is seeking a Field Sales Representative to join their growing Metal Division and manage a territory covering Cork City to West Cork.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established organisation with a strong reputation across the industrial, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and maintenance sectors. Whether you have previous sales experience or are looking to develop your career in a sales environment, full training and ongoing support will be provided.

As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned territory, building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional service to a diverse client base.

Working closely with your Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales growth while promoting a comprehensive range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets within your territory.
• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Promote the company's multi-channel offering, including in-person, online, telesales, and digital ordering solutions.
• Develop a strong understanding of products and services to provide tailored recommendations and technical advice.
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and prepare detailed quotations.
• Deliver exceptional levels of customer service and support.
• Effectively plan and manage territory coverage to maximise sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer records, quotations, and sales activity using CRM and internal systems.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

About You

• Previous sales experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Customer-focused with a genuine passion for sales and service excellence.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems and technologies.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Full clean driving licence is essential.
