Job summary

Ground Control in Ireland is seeking a Contract Supervisor to oversee grounds maintenance and winter operations, covering Limerick and surrounding areas. You will lead field teams, manage contractors and ensure high safety and quality standards across a growing contract portfolio.

The role offers exposure to surveying, quoting and end-to-end contract delivery, with a clear path toward senior operational roles. A company vehicle is provided along with extensive development support.

Qualifications

• Experience within Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping, Arboriculture or a similar outdoor operational environment.
• Experience supervising or leading field-based teams, operatives or subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of site standards, quality inspections and operational delivery.
• Experience conducting site surveys, inspections or assessments.
• Exposure to estimating, quoting or identifying additional works opportunities would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and teams.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach to work.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of how operational decisions impact service delivery and profitability.
• Ambition to develop and progress within a growing business.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Survey sites and scope maintenance works, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and works can be delivered safely and efficiently.
• Prepare quotations and estimates for additional works, assessing labour, materials and resource requirements.
• Support the day-to-day management of field teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with specification.
• Carry out site inspections and quality audits, maintaining high service standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day enquiries, service requests and operational issues.
• Support contract performance across your region, helping ensure service levels, quality standards and customer expectations are met.
• Coordinate labour, plant and materials, ensuring works are effectively planned and delivered.
• Promote high standards of health, safety and compliance, carrying out regular site checks.
• Identify opportunities for additional works and service enhancements to deliver value.
• Support winter maintenance operations when required.
