Job summary

Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, through the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), invites applications for Conservation Ranger positions across Ireland. Qualifications

• Relevant experience in wildlife management or nature conservation.
• Ability to write concise, clear and accurate reports and maintain records.
• Good IT skills for word processing, data analysis and report-writing.
• Demonstrable decision-making and practical problem-solving skills.
• Current full driving licence (Category B), valid in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage habitats and species in assigned regions.
• Support enforcement of wildlife acts and related regulations.
• Process Wildlife Licences and liaise with stakeholders.
• Work in the field to support nature conservation objectives.
