Experience / Qualifications
Essential
- Experience within a similar position or finance-related position.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or other finance related discipline.
Desirable
- Familiarity with the third-level Irish higher education environment and associated administrative processes.
- A recognised professional accountancy qualification would be an advantage; applications from part-qualified accountants with relevant experience are also welcomed.

Purpose of the Role
To manage all student fee-related activities efficiently and accurately while supporting the Management Accountant in improving, automating, and integrating fee collection and administration processes.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Student Fees Administration
- Administer the student fees function within the Finance Department
- Issue invoices and collect student fees.
- Process student fee refunds.
- Oversee the financial administration of Apprenticeship programmes
- Administer student grants
- Follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain fee records and student account information
Financial Processing
- Process card payments and other receipts.
- Administer direct debit collections.
- Record bank transfers and prepare lodgements.
- Reconcile and update payment records.
Systems and Reporting
- Maintain student fee data within the student administration system (Ellucian/Quercus).
- Produce regular management and fee reports.
- Test enhancements to online payment processes.
- Support system upgrades and process improvements.
Customer Service
- Respond to student fee queries by phone, online, and in person.
- Maintain fee-related content on the college website.
Process Improvement
- Assist with automation and integration of fee-related processes.
- Keep informed about student funding schemes and grants.
- Contribute to operational efficiencies within the finance function.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: €39,164 to €56,013 (Specialist/ Senior Administrator salary band)
- Annual Leave: 24 days per annum
