Job summary

Kiernan Milling Unlimited Company are seeking a Feed Mill Technician to support daily animal feed production at their Granard, Co. Longford site (N39C960). This hands-on role covers raw materials handling, bagging, dispatch, and maintaining mill hygiene.

The successful candidate will monitor processing lines, follow strict mixing ratios, and assist with routine maintenance checks. Vacancy offers a 39-hour week and €36,605 per annum.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in feed mill, agricultural processing, or related industry.
• Level 4 qualification (Leaving Certificate or equivalent).
• Interpersonal skills desirable.
• Manual handling desirable.
• Time management and initiative desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh, and unload bulk raw materials into hoppers and silos.
• Operate manual and semi-automated bagging machines, seal bags and label batches.
• Move raw ingredients and finished goods with forklifts or power pallet trucks.
• Monitor conveyors, augers, elevators, and grinders; report faults to maintenance.
