Salary: €35,948 -€45,188

  • Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

The Children and Young People’s Service within Avista provide interdisciplinary team supports, residential, family support and education services to 0-18 year old Children and Young People with complex needs and their families. The candidates are also required to work in partnership with families within a family centred model.

Essential:
  • FETAC Level 5/QQ I in Healthcare /Social Care/Early Childhood/or a related discipline, or be in pursuit of same.
  • Previous experience in the area of intellectual disabilities is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively manage their time; work on their own initiative.
  • Ability to be flexible and creative.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to promoting the active engagement and participation of individuals in their local communities.
  • Be person centred in approach to enabling individuals to maximise their independence and develop meaningful roles in society.
  • Be available to work evenings and weekends.
