Job summary

Sysco Ireland at the Dublin depot seeks a skilled Facilities Technician to maintain and support our multi-temperature distribution operations. The role will manage electrical and mechanical maintenance, update equipment records, and assist with continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, support compressed air and refrigeration systems, and perform planned preventive maintenance while rotating shifts and traveling as

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience/qualifications.
• Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety.
• Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance.
• Experienced in fault finding and problem solving.
• Flexibility with shift rotation and travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to operations, ensuring maintenance works are efficient, effective and safe.
• Provide maintenance support, enter data, update equipment records & participate in continuous improvement.
• Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting.
• Electro-mechanical repairs to PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, plus pneumatic & hydraulic control systems.
• Technical support for plant facilities and services, including compressed air and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines.
• Update CMMS, record changes and store transactions.
• Complete planned work and log daily entries of all works on CMMS.

Now, we're looking for a Facilities Technician to join our team at our Dublin depot. This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco - keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

This role involves dealing with all contracts and maintenance associated with the Dublin Distribution Centre; supporting environmental initiatives and generally ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees will be top priority.

To be successful you will have had significant experience in a similar logistics/storage business and understand the issues which come with managing a multi-temperature facility.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for delivering a high-quality maintenance service to operations, must ensure that maintenance works efficiently, effectively and safely
• Providing maintenance support, entering data, updating equipment records & participating in continuous improvement
• Electrical & Mechanical trouble-shooting
• Electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, also pneumatic & hydraulic control systems
• Technical support for the plant facilities and services, including compressed air and refrigeration systems
• Performance of preventative maintenance routines
• Update the maintenance management system (CMMS), recording all changes, store transactions made & work carried out
• Responsible for completion of your planned work, shifts daily input of all works onto CMMS

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role in regulated manufacturing environment (POST APPRENTICESHIP)
• Possess mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications.
• Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety
• Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance
• Experienced in fault finding and problem solving
• Flexibility with shift rotation and travel
