Job summary

EPS Group seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the Mallow site’s facilities operations and support capital projects across the EPS Group. You will manage day-to-day facilities, safety, and coordinating with internal teams, consultants and contractors to deliver upgrades on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring several years in facilities management, strong project management and budgeting skills, and the ability to lead multiple projects while ensuring MEICA and building

Qualifications

  • At least five years' experience in facilities management, engineering, construction or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of the Mallow facility.
  • Develop preventative maintenance programmes and coordinate reactive maintenance.
  • Oversee offices, workshops, warehouses, yards, welfare facilities and building services.
  • Manage facilities contractors, service providers and suppliers.
  • Maintain asset registers, compliance documents and inspection records.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, programmes and business cases.
  • Lead capital projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Manage consultants, contractors, project costs, schedules, quality and risk.
  • Support site-development planning, space optimisation, relocations and layout changes.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Support MEICA installations, emergency planning and site security.
  • Manage operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and sustainability.

EPS Group is a leading provider of water and wastewater solutions, delivering engineering and environmental services across Ireland and internationally.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee facilities operations at our Mallow site and support capital projects across the wider EPS Group.

The Role

This is a varied role combining day-to-day facilities management with the delivery of building upgrades, refurbishments, site expansions and infrastructure projects.

You will manage projects from concept through to completion, coordinating internal teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and with minimal disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, building and regulatory requirements.

About You
  • At least five years' experience in facilities management, engineering, construction, building services, project management or a related area.
  • Proven experience delivering building upgrades, refurbishments, expansions or capital projects.
  • Strong project management, budgeting, procurement and contractor-management skills.
  • Practical knowledge of MEICA systems and building services.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety requirements in an operational, engineering or construction environment.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel between EPS locations.

A relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, facilities management, construction, building services or project management would be an advantage.

Experience within the engineering, utilities, environmental, manufacturing or industrial sectors, together with knowledge of Irish planning, building control, fire safety, accessibility or sustainability projects, would also be beneficial.
