Job summary

C&D Foods is seeking a General Maintenance Operative at its Edgeworthstown site in Ireland. The role focuses on maintaining internal and external areas, supporting GMP compliance, and assisting with facility upkeep and repairs.

The ideal candidate has experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman work and may have exposure to manufacturing environments. The position offers opportunities for development within the Engineering Department and requires a proactive approach to cost savings

Qualifications

Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or handyman role.
Experience with basic building repairs and maintenance activities.
Desirable but not essential - experience working in a manufacturing or GMP environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out general building maintenance and repair work.
Maintain internal and external areas of the site, including painting and minor repairs.
Complete basic plumbing repairs, including toilet maintenance.
Perform light carpentry and repair of fixtures and fittings.
Support pest-proofing activities and facility improvement projects.
Maintain site grounds, yards, and external areas.
Support site services and general facility upkeep.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
Maintain GMP, housekeeping, and cleanliness standards across the site.
Liaise With Engineering, Quality, And Other Departments As Required.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements by completing work internally where practical.
