Job summary

Abbott Ireland, located in Donegal Town, seeks an experienced Facilities Engineering Manager to lead hard and soft services, plan budgets, and drive continuous improvement across a manufacturing site. Responsible for design, planning, construction and maintenance of facilities, equipment and buildings to deliver safe, compliant products.

The role requires 10 years in a similar industry, an engineering degree, and strong people management skills within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

10 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
Degree-qualified in Engineering or related field.
Strong background in Facilities Management, preferably in a regulated environment.
People management experience.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and facilities management software/tools.
Lean six sigma qualifications (desirable) green belt or black belt.
Experience establishing programs.

Responsibilities

Plan future facility activities, budgets, projects and day-to-day site operations.
Source and maintain all facilities equipment and services with cost, schedule and performance focus.
Ensure reliability of Plant facilities including maintenance, repair and improvement.
Identify opportunities for new technology and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain data management methods, procedures, and reports for facilities functions.
Support CAPA investigations and implement corrective actions.
