Job summary

Autism A Chara (previously Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG) is seeking a Facilitator on a Specific Purpose Contract for 39 hours per week in Ireland. The role requires a QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification, understanding of person-centred support, and the ability to plan with clients.

Evening and weekend work may be required, with a focus on safety and compassionate care. The facilitator will work closely with individuals to learn what matters to them, adapt communication, and support daily

Qualifications

Must hold a QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification.
Understand person-centred support for those with complex needs.
Experience with planning and delivering centred care programs.

Responsibilities

Learn individual needs and preferences and adapt support accordingly.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with service users.
Provide daily living assistance including personal care.
Support engagement with community activities.
Assist with developing new skills and daily routines.
Help users understand rights and make informed choices.

Qualifications required for a Facilitator:

A full QQI level 5 Health Care Qualification is essential, (e.g. health, community, care sector) but a genuine passion for providing person centred support is key to being successful in the role of a Facilitator.
