Assurance Technology Risk – Graduate Programme

Technology Risk is part of our Assurance practice, helping clients manage risks linked to their IT environments. As a graduate, you’ll work across industries to assess IT controls, evaluate cybersecurity and data governance, and provide assurance over systems supporting financial and operational reporting.

You’ll gain insight into how businesses function, how technology supports strategy, and how to manage the risks that come with innovation. You’ll experience various work streams supporting EY clients in areas like technology risk assessment, software licensing, contract and third‑party risks, design and operation of their internal controls, security of their business‑critical systems & delivery of major IT enabled programmes.

What We Do

EY is a leading provider of risk assurance services. Within Assurance, Technology Risk offers independent advice on:

IT Assurance & Controls : Reviewing internal controls, ITGCs, SOC reporting, and FAIT assessments.

Cybersecurity : Helping clients manage cyber threats and comply with standards like ISO27001 and NIST RMF.

Technology Risk Transformation : Aligning IT risk strategies with business goals and regulations.

Trusted AI & Emerging Tech : Supporting responsible AI deployment and compliance with frameworks like the EU AI Act.

ESG IT Audit : Assuring IT systems and data used in ESG reporting.

Data Analytics & Governance : Using tools like EY Helix, Power BI, and SQL to deliver insights and support audits.

Our team combines technical expertise with business understanding to deliver practical, value‑driven advice.

What You Will be Doing

Gaining a broad understanding of the IT landscape of some of our biggest clients, including their approach to cybersecurity, data protection, resiliency and software asset management.

Assessing complex projects to spot risks and make recommendations.

Analysing data, communicating with clients and presenting your work.

Understanding the risks associated with emerging technologies, including cloud adoption, the use of Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation.

You’ll also be expected to be flexible.
