Job summary

Next Generation is seeking an External Manufacturing Specialist to oversee end-to-end supply chain activities for products produced by external partners across regions. You will be the primary contact between CMOs, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to keep plans accurate and mitigate risks.

You will manage production schedules, support new product introductions, and drive improvements within GMP and GDP frameworks, ensuring patient supply remains uninterrupted while optimizing

Qualifications

• Direct experience managing CMOs or external manufacturing partners.
• Experience in supply chain/planning in pharma, medical device, or FMCG.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and planning tools.
• Strong stakeholder management across global or multi-site teams.

External Manufacturing Specialist: Supply Chain

When products are made by contract manufacturers instead of your own sites, the risk moves outside your walls. Our client needs someone who can sit at that boundary — managing the relationship with external manufacturing partners day to day, so supply keeps moving and problems get caught before they reach patients.

You'll own end-to-end supply chain activity for products made by external partners across multiple regions. You'll be the main point of contact between those partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams — keeping supply plans accurate and stepping in early when something's at risk.

If you've got direct experience managing CMOs and you're ready to take real ownership of that relationship, this is worth a conversation.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating production schedules, inventory levels, and demand signals across the external manufacturing network
• Supporting new product introductions and lifecycle changes as they move through partner sites
• Leading the resolution of supply disruptions, escalating where it matters to protect service and patient supply
• Keeping ERP and planning systems accurate, and working within GMP and GDP requirements
• Contributing to efficiency and cost initiatives as they come up

What you'll bring

• Direct experience managing CMOs or external manufacturing partners — this is the one the client won't move on
• Supply chain or planning experience in a regulated environment (pharma, medical device, or FMCG)
• Confidence with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and supply planning tools
• Strong stakeholder management across global or multi-site teams
• A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science, or Engineering is a plus, not a requirement
