We are a well-established thermal imaging technology company based in Drogheda, Ireland, specialising in the design, manufacturing, and export of advanced thermal cameras and electronic equipment. As our international operations continue to grow, we are committed to maintaining the highest trade compliance standards and documentation across all our export activities.

The Role

We are seeking a part-time Export Control & Compliance Officer to support our international trade operations and ensure full compliance with Irish and EU export control regulations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in trade compliance and a strong understanding of global export laws and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all export documentation complies with relevant regulations

• Maintain accurate records for export control, classification, and licensing

• Support licence applications and goods classification (e.g., ECCNs, TARIC codes)

• Liaise with customs and regulatory bodies as needed

• Advise internal teams on trade compliance best practices

• Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of internal procedures

Requirements

• Experience in export compliance

• Strong understanding of EU Dual-Use Regulation (EU Regulation 2021/821)

• Familiarity with end-use/end-user screening, sanctions, and embargo laws

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage documentation processes efficiently

Preferred Certifications (at least one of the following):

• Certificate in Export Compliance (Institute of Export & International Trade or equivalent)

• Diploma in International Trade Compliance

• Customs Clearance Agent Certification (Ireland)

• Other recognised qualifications in export control or customs compliance
