Job summary

Gallant Groundworks Limited is seeking two masons to undertake masonry and bricklaying on residential, commercial and civil projects in Cloonliffen, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo. Read plans, set out walls, lay materials and finish to required standards.

Applicants should have about 2 years of relevant experience, be able to read drawings, and work safely on site. Salary is €36,605 with typical 39-hour weeks on-site in Mayo.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience relevant to the role.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Ability to follow health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Set out walls, foundations and other masonry structures accurately.
• Lay bricks, blocks, concrete blocks, stone and other masonry materials.
• Prepare and mix mortar, concrete and other materials as required.
• Construct and repair walls, partitions, foundations and other structures.
• Carry out pointing, jointing, rendering and finishing work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, levels, measuring equipment and other construction equipment safely.
• Work from scaffolding, ladders and other approved access equipment where required.
• Follow construction drawings, site instructions and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
