Job summary

Garahys Garage Limited in Birr, Co. Offaly, Ireland, is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to maintain and repair trucks, buses, and vans in a busy workshop. The role requires a Level 6 Craft Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent and at least two years post-qualification experience.

Training is provided for CVRT testing where needed. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with an annual salary of €37,544–€40,000.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Craft Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (or equivalent).
• At least two years post-qualification experience.
• Training provided for CVRT testing if not already qualified.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and detail-oriented, able to work in a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair trucks, buses and vans in a busy commercial vehicle repair centre.
• Carry out Commercial Vehicle Tests on light and heavy vehicles or undertake CVRT training if needed.
