Job summary

BURNS CONSTRUCTION & CIVIL ENGINEERING LIMITED, a Galway-based construction company, is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our site team. The role covers first and second fix carpentry on residential and commercial sites, with emphasis on reading drawings and maintaining safety.

We value reliable, hard-working individuals who can collaborate effectively with site management and other trades to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter on residential and/or commercial projects.
• Trade qualification (FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent) preferred.
• Safe Pass and CSCS/Construction Skills Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable, hard-working and able to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• First and second fix carpentry across residential and commercial sites.
• Formwork, shuttering, and structural carpentry as required.
• Reading and working from architectural and construction drawings.
• Working closely with site management and other trades to keep works on programme.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and compliant work area at all times.
