Job summary

Central Bus & Coach Limited, based in Kenagh, Co. Longford, is seeking an experienced Bus Mechanic for immediate start at their Kenagh facility. A minimum of three years' experience as a bus mechanic is required; mechanic certification is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Bus Mechanic is required.
• Mechanic certification preferred but not essential.
• On-the-job training will be provided as required.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• To maintain, diagnose and repair a fleet of buses to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
• To perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on buses.
• To diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspensions.
• To carry out emergency roadside repairs when required.
• To maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
