Job summary

Wild Encounters Mini Zoo in Co. Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Full Time Zoo Keeper to join a developing facility outside Newcastle West.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year exotic animal husbandry experience in a zoo-licensed facility.
• Reliable, energetic and willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Confident public speaker able to engage visitors, including school programmes.

Responsibilities

• Daily animal husbandry and training.
• Enclosure and site maintenance.
• Record keeping of animals and activities.
• Deliver animal demonstrations and talks to the public and school groups.
• Other duties as required by the role.
