Job summary

Galway City Council is seeking to create a panel for Executive Technician (Panel) to fill future permanent and temporary posts across Planning, Housing, Transportation and Recreation & Amenity. The role covers providing technical services, site inspection, surveying, drawings and graphics, and report writing.

The successful candidate will operate CAD, work as part of a team, liaise with departments and external agencies, prepare public display materials for consultations and manage workflows

Qualifications

• Experience providing technical services in engineering contexts.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and workplace compliance.
• Experience preparing public consultation materials and displays.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services including site inspection, surveying, drawings and graphics.
• Operate CAD and related technology to deliver assigned work.
• Work as part of a team and liaise with departments and external bodies.
• Prepare public consultation display material and assist at consultations.
• Manage workflows and produce progress reports.
• Supervise staff and contribute to staff development.
• Carry out duties across Planning, Housing, Transportation or Recreation as assigned.
