Job Description

Purpose of post: To promote brand awareness & engagement with the public. To be the first point of contact for visitors through onsite visits, phone calls or emails. To assist other office staff as required.

Main Duties and Key Tasks
  • To develop and execute social media and communication such as quarterly newsletter in both print and digital form, to assist the shop staff with social media, daily posts to advertise the menu available in the café, and events / courses that are being run in the Coop by us and by other community members and groups by creating engaging text, image, and video content and publish it across our various social media and communications platforms.
  • Developing strategies that effectively increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
  • Track and analyse social media campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices to implement as part of the company’s strategy.
  • To organise events such as live music and markets to raise the profile of the Coop in the wider community.
  • To meet and greet visitors to the office.
  • To answer the phone and redirect callers / messages.
  • To update the manager’s report for the monthly management committee meeting.
  • To complete any ad hoc office duties to assist other office staff as required.
