Merit Medical Galway is seeking an Evening Shift Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations, align with quality and regulatory standards, and drive efficiency. The role requires strong leadership and GMP knowledge in a medical device environment.

You will coordinate priorities, manage the shift handovers, and develop teams while ensuring safety and compliance with FDA/MDR and ISO 13485, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in manufacturing/engineering or related field.
• Minimum six years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP and quality systems in medical device manufacturing.
• Ability to work as part of a top management team to meet objectives.
• Strong computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate manufacturing operations to meet production priorities and standards.
• Lead shift handovers and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA MDR EU).
• Support new product introductions and cost-reduction projects.
• Assist with process, equipment and operator qualifications, validations, and certifications.
• Develop and update procedures; review specifications and documentation.

Together, we are making a difference in the lives of patients around the world.**SUMMARY OF DUTIES**Provides guidance and direction for the manufacturing process to meet the profitability goals of the company.**Main Duties/Responsibilities*** Meets with other members of the management team to determine and monitor production priorities and standards* Manages manufacturing operations to ensure that production needs are met and that resources are provided to obtain peak performance.* Assists in implementation of new products and cost reduction projects.* Assists with process, equipment and operator qualifications, validations and certifications* Supports development of new products, removes barriers to achieving objectives, and provides managerial and technical support to assist others to achieve their assigned job tasks* Resolves problems in manufacturing to ensure that quality needs are being met and manufacturing criteria are adhered to* Reviews and approves specifications and documentation relating to manufacturing.
