Job summary

The Quays Bar & Restaurant in Galway is seeking a friendly, confident Host to join our front of house team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere and showcase our food, drink and hospitality experience.

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent (7:00pm - 2:00am / 4/5 days per week). Up to €26/hour. Training and support from an experienced hospitality team, with opportunities to grow within the venue.

Qualifications

• Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with the public.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Outgoing, enthusiastic and well presented.
• Previous experience within the Irish hospitality industry.
• A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a busy team.
• Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Engaging with customers and providing information on menus, food offerings, drinks and daily specials.
• Supporting the front of house team with guest flow, table availability and general customer enquiries.
• Manage day to day customer relations, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
• Creating a positive first impression for both walk-in customers and visitors to Galway.
• Helping promote the venue’s food and beverage offering in a confident and approachable way.
