Job summary

Dawn Meats Group in Ireland is seeking an Evening Coldstore General Operative to join our Kildare Town site. The role focuses on accurate handling, storage, and rotation of meat products within a safe cold storage environment.

You will support the coldstore team with material decanting, packing preparation, and equipment operation, while adhering to deadlines and safety standards. This is a permanent, full-time position with evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Interested in future development & progression.
• Available to work evening shifts from Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Decanting meat (no bending involved).
• Lifting boxes, max weight 25kg, also lifting 20kg, 10kg boxes.
• Flipping trays and pushing trays, max 25kg.
• Using gas gun on packing to shrink material to fit the meat.
• Operate and maintain cold storage equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of products to maintain quality and safety standards.

Role Summary: Dawn Meats is one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, UK, France and continental Europe employing over 8000 employees. We currently have opportunities for a Coldstore Operative to join our production team in Kildare Town. The succesful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe storage of meat products in our cold storage facility.
