Job summary

Avista is recruiting for a Care Assistant to work Twilight Hours at St Louise's Centre, Dublin 20. Salary is subject to relevant public sector experience and pro-rated for hours of work. Ref: 104758.

The role requires QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or higher, English proficiency, a driving licence, and experience supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities, including autism and challenging behaviours. Commitment to person-centred, community-based care is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Experience of working with people with Intellectual Disability.
• Full Irish Driving License.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
• Experience of working with people who have a diagnosis of Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
