Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking an Estates Officer to join the Estates Department at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The role involves supervising a small team, coordinating contractors and in-house trades, and ensuring maintenance work is carried out safely and efficiently to support patient care.

The post requires the ability to react quickly to breakdowns, prioritise tasks, and manage on-call duties in a 1:6 rota.

At NHS Highland we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for an Estates Officer to coverNHSH at Raigmore Hospital.

The successful candidateenthusiastic and motivatedindividualable to react and think quickly on how to deal with breakdowns within the NHSH Estate, manage small scale projects and efficiently arrange for contractors or in house trades teams to carry out maintenance work safely.The post is primarily based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, there may be times where the post holder may be required to travel to sites all over NHSH region.Theposition will requireeffective management and prioritisation tocontribute to the provision of excellent patient care.

What We Are Looking For
  • Experience of managing a team and Contractors.
  • A current UK driving licence is essential.

  • A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessaryand willing to participatein the 1:6 on-call rota.
