Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Water Sampling Officer based in County Cork to deliver high-quality accredited water and wastewater sampling. You will work outdoors, manage sample collection routes, and ensure data integrity for regulatory compliance.

Role involves standard operating procedures, HSQE adherence, and collaboration with data analysts to contextualize sampling data. Training will be provided; hours are 7am–6pm, Monday to Friday, with potential out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualification or accreditation is desirable and/or relevant experience.
• Minimum 1-year relevant experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
• Proactive with ability to work on own initiative and with others to ensure success.

Responsibilities

• Collect water and wastewater samples safely and accurately according to sampling plan and regulatory requirements.
• Transport samples to relevant drop-off points.
• Carry out on-site sample analysis and record information.
• Use on-site testing equipment and maintain calibration.
