Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to lead environmental governance across infrastructure projects in Ireland. You will drive compliance with environmental legislation, permits, licences, and planning conditions while guiding project teams and supply chain partners.

The role emphasizes ISO 14001-based management, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle, with a focus on reducing environmental risks and reporting performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science/Management/Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing environmental compliance on large projects
• Strong knowledge of Irish and European environmental legislation and permits
• Experience auditing, inspecting, and reporting on environmental performance
• Chartered Environmentalist or working towards accreditation preferred
• Experience in delivering ISO 14001-based programmes and governance

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programmes across construction and infrastructure projects
• Ensure regulatory compliance, permits, licences and planning conditions
• Provide expert environmental advice to project teams and senior management
• Monitor legislation changes and implement across projects
• Oversee contractor environmental performance and CEMPs
• Prepare environmental reports and KPIs for management reviews
