Job summary

Community Outreach Team - Limerick City Partnership operates St Marys Community Cafe under a CE Scheme. The role is a developmental opportunity in which accredited training will be provided.

The start date is expected to be early January 2027 at St Mary’s Community Cafe, Saint Marys Park, Limerick. Role duties include serving meals, greeting the public, keeping the area clean, assisting staff with food service and following safety procedures such as HACCP, manual handling and fire safety

Qualifications

• This is a developmental opportunity; no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in the Community Café.
• Greet members of the Public in a friendly fashion.
• Keep own work area clean at all times.
• Assist other café staff in food service.
• Clear and sanitise tables after each use.
• Assist the Chef and other staff with other duties.
• Follow instruction/direction of the Chef.
• Follow food safety compliance, complying with basic hygiene rules.
• Attend HACCP Training.
• Attend Manual Handling Health and Safety.
• Attend Fire Safety Training.
