Job summary

Forvis Mazars in Ireland is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. You will act as the first line of defence for our digital infrastructure, monitoring security alerts, reviewing system logs, and identifying threats across security platforms.

You will investigate security events, escalate risks to senior staff, and contribute to remediation efforts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Recent graduates or early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and common network protocols.
• Ability to read Windows Event Logs and Syslog.
• Familiarity with SIEM concepts and EDR tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and review dashboards across platforms.
• Analyze event logs to identify anomalies or IoCs.
• Escalate validated incidents to senior IT staff following playbooks.
• Document alerts, false positives, and escalations in the ticketing system.
• Provide reports as needed.
