Job summary

Davy is seeking a Head of Data Platform and Data Engineering to own the enterprise Snowflake platform within the Data and Analytics Team. Reporting to the Chief Data & Analytics Officer, the role drives data foundations and scales the data engineering function.

You will lead architecture, governance, and delivery of high-quality data pipelines for Finance, Risk, Analytics, and Wealth Management, ensuring AI-ready data products and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in a numerate or quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading data platform and data engineering in financial services.
• Expertise with Snowflake at enterprise scale including cost, security and performance.
• Ability to define target state data architecture and roadmaps.
• Experience delivering data products and regulatory reporting for Finance, Risk, Operations.
• Experience making data AI-ready with quality, metadata and lineage.
• Proven track record building and developing data engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the Snowflake platform at enterprise level and set the roadmap.
• Govern data architecture and standardise modelling, integration and consumption.
• Lead data engineering delivery for multiple functions including regulatory data flows.
• Deliver governed, high-quality data products for AI/ML use cases.
• Lead the Data Engineering team with standards, tooling and career paths.
• Manage senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations.
• Oversee vendor relationships with Snowflake and ecosystem partners.
