Edwards Lifesciences is seeking an EHS leader to design and implement environmental, health and safety strategies for the Limerick and Shannon sites. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead audits with cross-functional teams to protect workers and the environment.

The role requires a degree in engineering or EHS, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or EHS related field.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, HSA, local and federal regulations.
• Experience with risk assessment and change control processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and data reporting.

Responsabilités

• Design and lead EHS strategies and process improvements for Limerick Delivery Systems Plant and Metals production in Shannon plant (as required).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet EHS goals and audits.
• Conduct internal inspections and audits per ISO14001/ISO45001; provide guidance to team members.
• Investigate EHS incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Provide EHS expertise for new processes and products; participate in change control processes.
• Revise training and written programs to ensure regulatory compliance; deliver training as needed.
• Create routine data reports in response to internal requests (environmental metrics).
• Act as liaison with government agencies for EHS managers.
• Support emergency response or site initiatives.

Role

Design and lead EHS operational strategies and process improvements for Limerick Delivery Systems Plant and Metals production in Shannon plant (as required).

How You Will Make An Impact?

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with EHS goals and programs
• Conduct periodic internal inspections and audit at the site to ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations such as ISO14001 and ISO45001; and provide guidance to appropriate team members
• Evaluate environmental and/or safety needs with focus such as ergonomics, and/or hazardous materials; Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Provide EHS expertise for new processes, new products, and technologies and participate in the change control process of the site such as EHS risk identification and risk manageme
• Collaborate with team to investigate cause for EHS incidents, EHS Goodsaves and Near Misses from employees and deviations from compliance and recommend sound corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders
• Revise existing EHS training and written programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations; may deliver training as necessary
• Research, analyze, and evaluate data to create routine reports (e.g., data collection) in response to internal requests such as Environmental metrics submission.
• Act as liaison with government agencies for EHS managers as assigned by Manager
• Other duties as assigned by management; Participate in emergency response or training activities or other site initiatives

What You Will Need?

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Scientific or EHS related field
• Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite
• Basic documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Good understanding and knowledge of EPA, HSA, local and federal regulations
• Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
