Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Limerick is seeking an EHS Lead to design and drive operational EHS strategies for the Limerick Delivery Systems Plant and Shannon site projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in safety and environment.

You will assess ergonomics, hazardous materials and training needs, develop processes, and support change control with risk identification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Scientific or EHS related field.
• Good computer skills in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with EHS goals and programs.
• Conduct periodic internal inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations such as ISO14001 and ISO45001; provide guidance to team members.
• Evaluate environmental and safety needs focusing on ergonomics or hazardous materials.
• Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide EHS expertise for new processes, products, and technologies; participate in change control processes including risk identification and risk management.
• Collaborate to investigate EHS incidents and deviations; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Revise EHS training and programs; deliver training as necessary.
• Research, analyze, and evaluate data to create routine reports (e.g., environmental metrics).
• Act as liaison with government EHS managers as assigned by Manager.
• Participate in emergency response or site initiatives.

Role Design and lead EHS operational strategies and process improvements for Limerick Delivery Systems Plant and Metals production in Shannon plant (as required).

How You Will Make An Impact?

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with EHS goals and programs
• Conduct periodic internal inspections and audit at the site to ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations such as ISO14001 and ISO45001; and provide guidance to appropriate team members
• Evaluate environmental and/or safety needs with focus such as ergonomics, and/or hazardous materials;
• Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Provide EHS expertise for new processes, new products, and technologies and participate in the change control process of the site such as EHS risk identification and risk manageme
• Collaborate with team to investigate cause for EHS incidents, EHS Goodsaves and Near Misses from employees and deviations from compliance and recommend sound corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders
• Revise existing EHS training and written programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations; may deliver training as necessary
• Research, analyze, and evaluate data to create routine reports (e.g., data collection) in response to internal requests such as Environmental metrics submission
• Act as liaison with government agencies EHS managers as assigned by Manager
• Other duties as assigned by management; Participate in emergency response or training activities or other site initiatives

What You Will Need?

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Scientific or EHS related field
• Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite
• Basic documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Good understanding and knowledge of EPA, HSA, local and federal regulations

• Good understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
