Job summary

Dexcom Ireland is seeking an Engineering Technician to support equipment engineers in scaling up automated manufacturing gear for Dexcom CGM products. You will test, troubleshoot, assemble, and validate electro-mechanical systems, robots and vision equipment, recording results and updating documentation.

  • Must be a fully qualified electrician with experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
  • Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers.
  • Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
  • Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment.
  • Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
  • Analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation.
  • Perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
  • Carry out activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer.
  • Assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
  • Follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
  • Update equipment related documentation (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.

*This role will work normal office hours Monday to Friday Under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor , the Engineering Technician provides technical support to equipment engineers for the improvement, installation, validation and transfer of replicate custom automated equipment used in the scale-up of manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products. These duties include supporting cross functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.

  • You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.
  • You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
  • You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.
What makes you successful:

The annualised base salary for this position is from €52,360.00 to €67,760.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
