Manage the shift technicians, equipment, and line performance through specific maintenance KPI’s. This role also involves supporting cross-functional departments as needed to help maintain an optimal operations environment.Where you come in:Supervise and coordinate the activities of equipment technicians during the assigned shift, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Review PM (Preventative Maintenance) and CM (Corrective Maintenance) activities in Maximo as part of maintenance oversight.Delegate preventative maintenance tasks and oversee corrective maintenance activities.Review and approve technician time and attendance records as required.Supervise projects such as layout moves, equipment assembly, and validation report execution.Deliver monthly performance updates through one-on-one meetings with each technician.Coordinate or conduct technician training as needed to maintain skill levels and support development.Work closely alongside the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth and effective shift operations.Know when to step in and provide hands-on support, particularly in escalation scenarios or when critical decisions are required.Maintain and report on department metrics such as OEE, Yield and other related KPIs related to equipment performance and maintenanceEnsure full compliance with all safety procedures, including Dexcom’s Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program and all other relevant safety protocols.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to sustain equipment and to support equipment deployment and improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment documentation (manuals, drawings, specifications).What makes you successful:Either formal or informal supervisory experience in a similar role is essential i.e , Technical Supervisor, Lead Technician, Technical Team Lead etcYou have extensive experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing i.e. Technician, Engineer etc.Typically requires an NFQ Level 7 or Level 8 qualification and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.Ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specificationsAbility to write routine reports, shift reports and correspondenceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managersKnowledge and experience with PLC and Automated production/process equipment, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electro/Mechanical systems, Resistance welders, Packaging equipment highly desirable.Experience with process improvement projects i.e. improving yields, reducing downtimeProven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skillsKnowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processesTechnical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development - Experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentationWhat you’ll get:A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
