Job summary

Propeller Recruitment - Aviation Recruitment Specialists is seeking a role focused on investigating engineering safety occurrences and supporting continuous improvement within the Safety Management System. The role will deputise Safety Manager Airworthiness during leave or absence and contribute to safety promotion across the organization.

Requirements include a degree in engineering/aviation or EASA Part 66 licence, with desirable 5 years’ aviation engineering experience in CAMO or P-145.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in engineering/aviation discipline or EASA Part 66 licence.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with engineering personnel at all levels.
  • Experience in safety occurrence investigations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct formal Engineering Investigations, including interviews with engineering personnel.
  • Prepare Investigation Reports and Safety Recommendations.
  • Assist and oversee investigations conducted by trained investigators.
  • Identify and analyse safety trends from reported occurrences.
  • Prepare periodic engineering safety reports and support hazard identification.
  • Participate in Safety Promotion using lessons learnt from investigations.
  • Assist in administration of SafetyManager365 occurrence reporting and risk modules.
  • Deputise Safety Manager Airworthiness during periods of absence.
  • Maintain competence through continuous education and training.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Safety Manager Airworthiness, this role focuses on investigating engineering-related safety occurrences and supporting continuous improvement within the Safety Management System. This role will deputise Safety Manager Airworthiness during periods of leave / absence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting formal Engineering Investigations, including interviews with engineering personnel,
  • Preparing Investigation Reports and Safety Recommendations,
  • Assisting and overseeing Engineering Investigations conducted by trained investigators,
  • Identifying and analysing safety trends arising from reported safety occurrences,
  • Preparing periodic engineering safety reports and supporting the Safety Manager Airworthiness in hazard identification and risk assessments,
  • Participating in Safety Promotion, utilising lessons learnt from internal and industry investigations,
  • Assisting in administration of SafetyManager365 occurrence reporting and risk management modules,
  • Deputise Safety Manager Airworthiness during periods of absence,
  • Maintaining competence through continuous education and training in the area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree in engineering/aviation discipline or EASA Part 66 licence,

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to identify safety trends and contributing factors,
  • Ability to work independently and to deadlines,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with engineering personnel at all levels,
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS),
  • Experience in safety occurrence investigations and risk assessments,
