Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Project Manager (Design Coordination) to join the ECI team, overseeing Water and Wastewater projects across the Island of Ireland. You will manage design coordination, PCI and PDI stages, and liaise with clients and internal teams.

The role requires solid post-qualification experience in M&E or Civil projects, an engineering degree or equivalent, and strong MS Project and communication skills. This is a permanent, on-site position based in Cootehill, Co. Cavan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant post qualification experience in the execution of M&E or Civil engineering projects.
• Diploma/Degree/Masters level in a relevant Engineering discipline or appropriate experience (Mechanical, Civil, Process, Chemical etc)
• Strong IT skills including MS Project
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Self motivated
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract for all assigned projects.
• Coordinate Design activities/outputs on a variety of projects across Water or Wastewater PCI and PDI.
• Act as the main point of contact for dealing with any issues relating to the project portfolio.
• Work collaboratively within the ECI structure with the client, technical assurance, employers representative and operations to deliver project scope.
• Link with senior management to provide timely updates on progress of design outputs and deliverables to assess impact on workshop dates, procurement, cost and variations.
• Monitor and control project and adherence to the project programme.
• Identify risks and manage opportunities to improve design process and outcomes.
