About the team

OLAP Platform is the analytical data layer that powers real-time reporting for restaurants and agentic data access for AI-driven products across the company. As Engineering Manager II, you will lead a growing engineering team in Dublin that owns this shared surface.

The team is in a pivotal stretch of work: scaling the platform to support more domains and consumers, keeping performance and cost in balance as it grows, and putting the governance in place to open it up safely to the next wave of AI-driven products.

This is a role for an engineering leader who combines platform thinking, operational discipline, and strong cross-functional influence. You should be comfortable owning developer experience for internal engineering customers, driving technical strategy and creating clarity in a fast-moving environment.

A day in the life (Responsibilities)

• Define and drive the technical direction, strategy and execution as the platform scales to more domains and consumers.
• Build the partnerships that make a shared platform work - aligning with consumer team leads on roadmaps and onboarding, and representing OLAP's priorities and constraints in cross-team forums
• Bring an AI-first approach to team workflow, reducing manual effort, accelerating issue resolution and shaping how the platform serves AI-driven consumers safely and at scale.
• Build outcome-oriented operating mechanisms, including metrics and monitoring, that keep consumer teams unblocked and give the platform team early signals when something is breaking or getting hot.
• Coach and mentor engineers, helping them grow technically and as leaders.
• Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where experimentation, iteration, and platform stability must coexist.

What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)

• 3+ years of experience leading high performing engineering teams, with experience of platform teams or teams where internal developers were the primary consumer or end user.
• Strong background in data-heavy backend systems.
• Solid communication and leadership skills. Comfortable operating across team boundaries and building durable relationships and influence with consumer teams - OLAP touches almost every product area at the company, and the role is as much cross-team alignment as internal execution.
• Ability to translate broad strategic goals into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.
• A process-driven approach to engineering leadership, with experience creating operating mechanisms, metrics, monitoring, and feedback loops that improve outcomes over time.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and building inclusive, high-ownership teams.

• Deep experience in real-time analytics, search, streaming, or data platform work
• This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days per week
