Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. in West Dublin is seeking an Engineering CAD & Documentation Technician to support ongoing biopharmaceutical projects.

You will ensure accuracy, integrity, and control of engineering documentation, including P&IDs, OEM manuals, and VTOPs/CTOPs, in a GMP-regulated setting. Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Technical Documentation, CAD Technology, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as Engineering Data Technician, CAD Technician, Document Controller, or similar in a regulated industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and revising drawings.
• Experience managing P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment records.
• Knowledge of EDMS and document control principles; GMP/regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, revise, and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Manage and control engineering documentation in accordance with site procedures and document management systems.
• Update and maintain P&IDs to reflect plant modifications and engineering changes.
• Render, convert, archive, and distribute engineering files in various formats.
• Support management of Validation Turnover Packages (VTOPs) and CTOPs.
• Ensure engineering records are accurate, current, and accessible for audits.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, validation, and project teams to reflect current plant conditions.
• Support change control processes by updating documentation after modifications.
• Perform periodic reviews to ensure GMP/compliance.
• Assist in developing and improving engineering document control processes.

Summary:

We are seeking an Engineering CAD & Documentation Technician to support ongoing projects within a biopharmaceutical company in West Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and control of engineering documentation and technical data, ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory, and company standards. This role requires strong AutoCAD experience and expertise in managing engineering records, including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), OEM manuals, technical files, VTOPs, CTOPs, and other critical engineering documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Create, update, revise, and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Manage and control engineering documentation in accordance with site procedures and document management systems.
• Update and maintain Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to reflect plant modifications and engineering changes.
• Render, convert, archive, and distribute engineering files in various electronic formats.
• Support the management and upkeep of Validation Turnover Packages (VTOPs) and Construction Turnover Packages (CTOPs).
• Ensure engineering records are accurate, current, and readily accessible for audits, inspections, and project activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, validation, and project teams to ensure documentation reflects current plant conditions.
• Support change control processes by updating documentation following approved modifications.
• Perform periodic reviews of engineering documentation to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of engineering document control processes and systems.
• Generate reports and maintain engineering data registers as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Engineering, Technical Documentation, CAD Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in an Engineering Data Technician, CAD Technician, Document Controller, or similar role within a regulated industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, including creation and revision of engineering drawings.
• Experience managing engineering documentation, including P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment records.
• Knowledge of document control principles and engineering data management systems.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other GMP-regulated industries.
• Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS).
• Understanding of validation documentation and turnover package management (VTOPs and CTOPs).
• Knowledge of engineering change control processes and GMP requirements.
• Exposure to major capital projects and engineering initiatives.
