Job summary

CORLANN in Galway seeks locum relief support workers to assist adults with intellectual disabilities. You will help with daily living, support education and independence, and aid in achieving Personal Outcome goals through individual plans.

The role requires flexibility, strong communication and teamwork, a full, clean manual driving licence, and English proficiency. Salary offers sector-aligned increments with pro rata terms and full training.

Qualifications

• A good general education; QQI Level 5 or higher is desirable.
• Experience with intellectual disability is desirable; training provided.
• Knowledge of person-centred planning is beneficial.
• A full clean manual driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to meet day-to-day needs and promote independence.
• Support development of Individual Plans and Personal Outcome goals.
• Provide personal care, meals, hygiene and related well-being tasks.
• Support education and community participation for service users.
