Job summary

Tunstall Healthcare Group is seeking an Emergency Helpline Operator for a permanent, part-time role (minimum 24 hours/week) based in Ireland. Training is full-time onsite for 5–6 weeks, paid at €14.15/hr, after which the role pays approximately €14.15/hr with adjustments for evenings, Sundays and nights.

Qualifications

• Confident IT user able to pick up new systems quickly.
• Confident communicating clearly over the phone.
• Great listener with ability to obtain critical information.

Responsibilities

• Speak to service users to provide reassurance and assess needs.
• Pass information to emergency services or contacts clearly and concisely.
• Maintain high accuracy in the Response Centre database and protect data per safeguarding/GDPR.
• Respond to calls effectively and offer calm, friendly support over the phone.
• Handle housing repair calls and coordinate appropriate contractors.
• Carry out outbound calls to comfort and reassure vulnerable end users.
