Job summary

The Good Shepherd Centre Kilkenny (GSCK) is leading the Own Front Door Project (OFD) in Carlow, delivering emergency accommodation and linked services for adults referred by Local authorities. The project aims to assess needs, arrange housing and support services, including parenting and childcare, to prevent homelessness and promote long-term tenancy sustainment.

GSCK collaborates with Mental Health Service Area 5 and local Councils to provide a coordinated response and access to housing,

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals' and families' needs to establish appropriate services and supports including schools, parenting and childcare for families.
• Coordinate access to housing, healthcare and social supports to support exit from homelessness and sustained tenancies.
• Some case work under Housing Plus programme to support long-term tenants in crisis and tenancy sustainment.
