Job summary

Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic in Lucan, Co. Dublin, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 for the Emergency Department. This senior role leads nursing services, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and contributes to strategic development within a private hospital setting.

The CNM1 will manage staff, plan budgets, drive clinical governance, and collaborate with Medical Consultants and the multidisciplinary team to deliver service improvement.

Qualifications

• Be registered in the general division of the NMBI.
• At least three to five years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Minimum three years nursing experience in an Emergency Department.
• Post-registration emergency nursing qualification or in pursuit of same.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or in pursuit of same.
• Clinical skills, quality focus and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and managerial leadership for the ED team.
• Plan, develop and monitor staffing and budget resources.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the unit.
• Promote patient-centred care and effective communication with patients and staff.
• Lead quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
