Job summary

Abbott's EMEA Statutory Reporting COE is seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant to lead statutory accounting and reporting for multiple entities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will act as a subject matter expert on IFRS, local GAAP and evolving regulations, driving improvements and mentoring junior colleagues.

This role offers exposure to technical accounting, stakeholder management, audit support and regional finance leadership within a growth-focused, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA.
• 5+ years in statutory accounting, financial reporting or related roles.
• Experience with SAP, OneSource, and auditing in international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory accounting and reporting across multiple EMEA entities.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures.
• Ensure IFRS, local GAAP compliance.
• Manage auditor relationships and statutory audits.
• Drive process improvements and automation.
• Mentor junior COE team members.
