Job summary

Google Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects from planning through delivery. You will coordinate schedules, risks, and stakeholders while shaping program direction across AI and infrastructure initiatives.

You will oversee project baselines, integrate EVM, and communicate trade-offs to executives and engineers alike. A strong technical background and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Economics, Industrial Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical programs and technology facility construction projects.
  • Experience managing the project lifecycle and distilling project data into executive reporting.
  • Experience with process standardization and operational improvements across project execution.
  • Experience with industry-standard construction scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Project Controls scheduling strategy across the Nordics, aligning campus schedules with program controls.
  • Localize Baselines to designs, ensuring CPM and WBS alignment for internal reporting.
  • Provide schedule oversight across active and pre-construction projects with risk interdependencies.
  • Implement local EVM with cost- and resource-loaded schedules and AI-enabled reporting.
  • Interface with regional stakeholders on schedule, funding and program health with tailored metrics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Economics, Industrial Engineering or an Engineering degree in the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical programs and technology facility construction projects.
  • Experience managing the project lifecycle and distilling project data into executive reporting.

  • Experience with industry-standard construction scheduling tools.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's degree with a technical emphasis or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven expertise in project controls for capital projects, with a strong focus on schedule planning, management, and launching data center infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • Proficient in key construction and scheduling software, including Primavera (P6 and P3), MS Project, Acumen Fuse, and Bentley Navisworks 4D.
  • Possess technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and network systems.
  • Skilled at driving stakeholder engagement and leveraging AI platforms and project management tools to maximize process efficiency.

  • Drive Project Controls scheduling strategy across the Nordics—aligning campus project schedules, acceleration efforts, and CapEx funding timelines with the broader Commercial and Program Controls Framework.
  • Localize Project Baseline Schedules to gPOR designs, ensuring GC/Sub Prime compliance with CPM and WBS specifications while maintaining alignment with integrated master schedules for internal reporting.
  • Provide schedule oversight across active and pre-construction projects, establishing critical interdependencies and delivering key program artifacts (charters, roadmaps, risk registers, and plans) to safeguard mission priorities.
  • Implement local Earned Value Management (EVM) with cost- and resource-loaded schedules, building real-time performance reports and OKR tracking while integrating internal AI platforms to automate reporting and drive efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary interface for regional stakeholders on schedule controls, funding, and program health—using tailored metrics, reports, and decision logs to maintain cross-functional alignment.
